Frequently Asked Questions
Curious to know more? Letβs grOH!
How do we start working together!?
The first step is to book an Inquiry Call! On the Inquiry Call, youβll tell us your story and what type of support youβre looking for. Weβll see if we are a good fit for each other. Once you sign your contract and pay your deposit, you officially become a grOH! client!

The biggest difference between Bespoke Design and E-Design is the amount of input and level of communication and collaboration between you and your Design Team.
E-Designs
E-Design Classic and E-Design Plus, are carte blanche services. You meet with your designer ONCE and then we grOH-for-it!
E-Design Premium has a formal Concept Design Presentation to share ideas! This allows the design to be tailored to your familyβs needs, wants, and aesthetics!
Bespoke Design
Bespoke design is a true partnership. We collaborate closely on the design through 3 formal meetings/design presentations, informal meetings, emails, texts, and calls. This gives us many opportunities to support the design until you are playing in your space! For example, we closely monitor your budget, vet contractors, engage with vendors and tradespeople, create an installation timeline, and more!
-
Absolutely! Our design services are available ANYWHERE!
Bespoke Design can be in person or virtual! Travel for in person meetings is optional.
E-Design is a fully virtual service.
-
No! There are opportunities for play in any sized space!! Within every design process, the grOH! team will help you prioritize features to make the most out of every inch!
-
Climbing features can go up to only 9-10 feet for fall-safe free climbing (with mats, of course!)
grOH! has experience designing climbing features with ceilings as low as 6 feet!
-
AT LEAST 5-10 years. It all depends on the ages of kiddos and your goals.
We specifically design spaces to grOH! (literally!) with your family based on your specific goals.
How do we do this, you ask?
Itβs open-ended design! The foundation of the playroom like an, art space, active space, fort, or small hangout nook are all interesting to kids of all ages.
The structure doesnβt change but the products and materials change as your kids mature and gain new skills!
For example, an art area is composed of a table, chairs, and storage, BUTβ¦
for your toddler, the chairs are low and the materials are big crayons; for your elementary kiddos, the table and chairs get taller and we can introduce materials such as oil pastels, a hot glue gun, or recycled materials.
for your teen, the materials elevate again to sewing projects, model car building, complicated LEGO sets, etc!

This is a question we are asked frequently, and the answer can vary between each unique situation.
For example, if youβre moving within a year, it may not be the best time to move forward with a design, as start to finish averages 6-8 months. It might be best to schedule a consult where we can recommend a temporary solution!
When families are not in their forever home, but still want to invest in a play space, there is an important factor to keep in mind: after installation, your playroom will make a positive impact on your family every single day until you move. Furthermore, our experience shows a playroom significantly raises potential buyersβ interests in the property.
We absolutely love our clients, we gladly reengage partnerships and create new designs in their new home!

This part of your playroom investment really depends on the size and scope of your project. We can talk more about the specifics of your project during an inquiry call! Book an Inquiry Call.
